Mindfulness and Meditation Sessions

In this experiential workshop, participants will gain a practical understanding of the autonomic nervous system and how it influences stress and relaxation. Through this foundational knowledge, individuals are empowered to integrate effective, science-backed techniques into their daily lives.

 

The instructor will guide the group through a series of targeted breathing exercises designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system—helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue. Gentle, accessible movement is incorporated to support nervous system regulation, and the session concludes with a guided breath meditation for a deep sense of calm and reset.

Nervous System Reset - 45 minutes

Loving- Kindness (Metta) Meditation - 30 minutes

Loving-Kindness Meditation is a guided practice that helps cultivate feelings of compassion, empathy, and emotional balance—starting with yourself and extending to others. Research shows it can increase positive emotions, reduce chronic pain, ease symptoms of anxiety and depression, and enhance overall well-being. This class offers a simple, accessible way to build emotional resilience and deepen your sense of connection.

Non-Sleep Deep Rest / Body Scan - 30 minutes

This guided meditation enhances interoception—your ability to sense internal bodily signals such as heartbeat, breath, and muscle tension. Research shows that improving interoceptive awareness can lead to better emotional regulation, reduced anxiety, improved focus, and a stronger connection between mind and body.

 

By systematically scanning through the body with focused attention, participants activate the parasympathetic nervous system, supporting deep relaxation and recovery. This practice fosters a more attuned relationship with oneself and promotes greater presence and connection in daily life.
